I am glad I purchased this mat and would recommend. There are lots of different options to hide the food with some people easy and some difficult. I will say you should monitor you dog while using as the felt material is it made with can be ripped.

This mat, and the "find it" toys also included, are awesome! My Bernese Mountain Dog has a ton of energy so it is important to keep him active physically and mentally. The Smelly Matt keeps him mentally stimulated throughout the day. I leave it outside and hide food and treats randomly so that he can "go hunting" whenever he wants. He has learned that once he thinks he's found all of his threats, he can grab it in his mouth and give it a good shake and at least a few more pieces will kibble will fall out. He's very big and very strong, yet it's one the few toys (and dog beds) he hasn't been able to destroy. I highly recommend this. Easy to wash/dry.

This is a beautiful and well made toy. My 1 year old Labradoodle rescue (medium sized; about 40lbs) is super smart and energetic and this keeps her busy for a really long time. I haven't introduced the puzzle toys, yet, but I am sure they will be a fun and difficult for her (which is a good thing). This is the first puzzle toy/snuffle mat that has kept her attention and proven to be any sort of challenge. She even tried to "muscle" it by picking it up but a good amount of the kibble stayed stuck in those felt pockets. She shook it, chewed it, and it doesn't show a bit of wear. She wanted to carry it around, but the foam rolls in the sides kept her from being able to do that. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to all my friend with energetic dogs who like to sniff, hunt, and use their brains!

My dog LOVES this. He is a highly energetic bulldog puppy who chomps on anything he can get his teeth into and this toy is currently keeping him occupied in a productive way (he usually can be found chewing up furniture, remote controls, shoes, etc). I’ll be ordering a couple more if he ever manages to destroy this one....

Thank you to the inventors and makers of this wonderful dog toy! I had never heard of this type of sniffing, dog puzzle toy before and am so grateful I came across it.

Because of the wonderful replies from this company’s customer service I could see in the Reviews, I had to try it. My 50lb mixed breed senior dog (whom I adopted when he was 9 and who is now 14yrs old) has bewilderingly NEVER played with any toys. He definitely wants to play with stuffed toys when he sees my other dog fetching and chewing, but he won’t. He whines and looks sad or scared of toys. Even if I’ve put toys in his mouth, he spits them out and refuses to bite down on them. If I spray the Kong toy filling treats on the toys, he licks them off but won’t play.

He actually plays with this mat! I’m so proud of him when he figures out one of the many puzzles and gets his treat! He sniffs furiously and paws and bites and tries to tear to get at what he can smell. He’s made some holes in the felt, but the petals flop over and he figures it out. He works for 30min and then just lays down for a nap right on the mat.

I’m so happy and appreciative of this company for making this wonderful product! I finally got to give my dog the chance to play and I’m so happy to be able to see him be a playful pup!

I love everything about this mat. The mat is extremely well made with heavy, high quality materials. Serves a wide variety of skill levels and can be used in many different ways. I love that the mat starts out at a novice level and can gradually grow to an expert level. Wonderful for all pups but extremly helpful for our senior dog! The mat keeps his mind sharp and also is great exercise for a dog that cannot be out in the summer heat.

My dog would eat treats every minute she loves this because she has to work for it!
